The Little Sisters of the Poor continue to suffer persecution.
We are talking about a group of good nuns who dedicate their lives to help other people and especially the elderly.
So here is what is happening after 7 years of legal battle with the Health and Human Services State department.
- 2016 – Unanimous Supreme Court vote in favor of the sisters.
- 2017 – A Presidential Executive Order protecting the sisters.
- 2018 – The two above actions won the good sisters an exemption from the HHS’s
health insurance contraception and abortifacient mandate.
But Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro
And California’s Attorney General Xavier Becerra
Refuse To Leave The Little Sisters In Peace.
These two officials have dragged these good Catholic nuns back into court. They’ve sued the federal government claiming that the exemption which HHS gave to The Little Sisters should be dismissed.
Neither state challenged the Obama Administration for creating much larger exceptions for secular corporations—exceptions that covered tens of millions more people than the religious exemption.
