January 2025: Rosary Rally Report

1,038 Rallies Working to Make Abortion Unthinkable
More than 1,000 public rosary rallies were held last week to pray for the end of the slaughter of innocents through abortion. From the snowy fields of Conneaut Lake, Penn., to the high desert terrain of Hobbs, New Mexico, thousands of people of all ages gathered to pray for the protection of the unborn and, as one rally captain said, “to make abortion unthinkable.”
It is fitting that the rosary rallies took place on January 25, just one day after the 52nd annual March for Life. This is a time when the nation comes together to celebrate life, show support for all unborn babies and their moms, and remind the world that God knows and loves every unborn child as deeply as He knows and loves each of us. The rosary rallies are the perfect way to share in the spirit of the March for Life, as rosaries are the “weapon the Blessed Trinity wants to use to reform the world.”
Praying the rosary is how we seek Mary’s intercession for the conversion of sinners, the salvation of souls, and the restoration of America’s moral fabric. It makes sense, then to publicly use the rosary to combat the tragic sin of abortion and to help bring pro-abortion advocates back to Christ.

Members of St. Francis of Assisi in Haskill, N.J., held a rally and prayed the rosary for the protection of life from conception to natural death. Rally leader Sandy W. said they also prayed for the conversion of our country, and for the return of prayer to our schools.

“What a phenomenal pro-life rosary,” Gladys from Harlingen, Texas, said. “This was one of the larger rosaries that we have had. We had people attend that have never attended before.”

Team leader Mary B. from Conneaut Lake, Penn., said they prayed for “much love for the babies” and “to make abortion unthinkable!”
Linda Z. from St. George Catholic Church in St. George, Utah, said the group held “a beautiful rosary for all babies” in front of Planned Parenthood to kick off pro-life week.
After the rally in Johnson Bayou, La., Selina T., rally captain, said “Everyone left with a certain peace, knowing we helped in some small way to make reparation for the sins of our nation and world!”
These nationwide events are part of the ongoing series of public square rosary rallies held throughout the year under the guidance of America Needs Fatima.
“Every life is a gift from God, so it gives me hope when I see people gather to pray for the protection of unborn children and the end to abortion,” said Robert E. Ritchie, director of America Needs Fatima. “We are seeing a true spiritual and cultural shift in America and people are thirsting for God’s love. Rosary rallies are a simple but extremely effective way to bring souls back to the Catholic Church, convert non-Catholics, and quite literally save the lives of unborn children.”
