June 2025: Saint Anthony Intentions Delivered
Jul 07, 2025 / Written by: Felipe Barandiaran
With a slight delay, we are happy to report that our dear friend and devotee of Saint Anthony in Europe, Felipe Barandiarán, carried your petitions to Saint Anthony’s Basilica on your behalf.
I would like to share with you his report:
My good Italian friend, Federico Catani, came from Rome, by train, to help with the presentation.
As on previous occasions, after the 7:30 a.m. Mass, celebrated at the main altar of the basilica, we went to the Chapel of Blessings with your intentions, petitions, and expressions of gratitude to receive the “blessing of Saint Anthony”, an exclusive privilege of the basilica of Padua, from a Franciscan friar.
We went to the Shrine office to arrange for three Masses for all those who sent intentions to Saint Anthony.
Afterwards, we went to the tomb to pray the responsory in your name and to place your supplications next to the countless votive offerings that surround it. We touched the petitions and intentions to his tomb several times. There were many pilgrims present as is always the case even though it is early in the morning.
We remained in prayer before the tomb of Saint Anthony for a long time. Throughout the day, we returned several times to greet Saint Anthony and thanked him again and again for all his protection and help.
At the end of the pilgrimage, we went to visit the religious superior of the sanctuary to talk with him and thank him.
In this Jubilee Year of Hope, as the Shrine of Saint Anthony of Padua was designated a Jubilee Shrine, we were able to pass through the Holy Door and receive the plenary indulgence. We did this for the intentions for the supporters of Saint Anthony’s Virtual Oratory and America Needs Fatima.
I am sending you some pictures to help you participate in the pilgrimage:
