February 11: Born in 747 to a family of noble decent, Benedict of Aniane was originally known as Witiza, or the Second Benedict.
September 14: Gabriel Taurin Dufresse, of Lezoux, France, was ordained a priest of the Society for Foreign Missions of Paris at the age of twenty-four.
September 12: Saint Guy was born in 950 and died in 1012. He is the patron saint of Anderlecht, Belgium; against mad dogs; against rabies; bachelors; epileptics; horned animals; laborers; protection of outbuildings, stables, and sheds; sacristans; work horses.
September 8: Saint Adrian is proclaimed as patron saint of prison guards, correctional officers and butchers, the last presumably due to the tortures he suffered.

August 22: Saint Andrew and his sister Saint Bridget the Younger were born in Ireland of noble parents. There they studied under Saint Donatus, an Irish scholar.
August 15: Saint Tarsicius is the patron saint of altar servers and first communicants. Very little is known about this heroic martyr.
August 6: Pope Saint Hormisdas (Pope from 514-523), was born in Frosinone, Campagna di Roma, Italy. He was an Italian by birth, though his name "Hormisdas" is Persian.
August 5: Saint Emidius was born a pagan and converted to Christianity. He became a Bishop and was Martyred. He is the patron Saint against earthquakes.
July 16: Saint Marie Magdalen Postel is the patron saint of chastity, teenage girls, poverty and forgiveness. She lived from 1756 to 1846 and was canonized in 1925.
