Our Blessed Mother Mary

For centuries, the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady was defended by saints, theologians and laymen. However, it took centuries of theological debate to establish a consensus in the Church.

To understand the set of visions and communications with which Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta were favored, we must first review Catholic doctrine on the communion of saints.

For nearly five centuries, the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe has stood as one of the greatest wonders in human history, not only because of its supernatural endurance but also because of the deeper truth it reveals about the human heart.

At the time of the Fatima apparitions, no water sprung from the ground, as it did in Lourdes, France. Nevertheless, the lack of water in and around Fatima was a very real problem and a difficult one to solve.

Among the many miraculous images of the Mother of God through which she deigns to grant her favors, there is one in the monastery church of the Carmelites in Vienna, entitled the Mother of Grace, or Our Lady of Grace, also known as Our Lady of the Bowed Head.

Human vocabulary is not sufficient to express the holiness of Our Lady. In the natural order, the saints and doctors of the Church compare her to the sun. But if there were any star inconceivably brighter and more glorious than the sun, that is the one to which they would compare her.
