July 2025: Rosary Rally Report
Jul 10, 2025 / Written by: America Needs Fatima
On Saturday, July 5, as Independence Day celebrations continued across the country, Americans gathered at 1,076 individual public rosary rallies to show their immense love for God and for our nation. Rally captains and attendees petitioned the Blessed Mother, who is patroness of the United States under the title of the Immaculate Conception, for her help to convert the country.
Rosary rallies for America have become a July tradition for many Catholics of America Needs Fatima (ANF) across the country as a time to thank God for His blessings and to ask the Blessed Mother for America’s conversion. The rallies also highlight an interesting historical connection between Our Lady and the nation’s faithful Catholics.
On May 13, 1846, exactly 71 years before Our Lady’s first appearance to the three shepherd children near Fatima, the Catholic bishops of the United States unanimously proclaimed Mary as Our Lady, Patroness of the United States. Pope Pius IX confirmed that decision the following year on July 2.
“The rosary rallies remind us that we are so blessed to live in America and under the guardianship of Our Lady,” said Robert E. Ritchie, director of ANF. “It is important to lift our voices in prayer daily, and certainly during historical commemorations such as the Fourth of July. It is also good to remember the words of Sister Lucia, one of the three children seers of Fatima, who told us there is no problem that cannot be solved by the rosary. We know this includes the conversion of our country.”
In Bozeman, Mont., the rally hosted by members of The Holy Rosary Catholic Church was held in a popular tourist location over the bustling holiday weekend. “Many people walked by our group on the sidewalk,” Amy M. said. “We were clearly demonstrating a tangible representation of our faith in Our Mother Mary!”

Adrian F. held a rally in Irving, Texas. “The prayers were beautiful,” he said. “The singing between decades was something I hadn't experienced before. To fight for Our Lady is something I could spend my life doing.”

“The general reactions of the people were probably the best we have seen,” Philip C. a rally in Santa Clara, Calif. he said. “Perhaps this was due partly to the theme of the Rosary Rally for America. Our usual greeting to passersby was to tell them ‘This is a public rosary honoring our country, and we're praying for you and your family.’"
Philip C. also said his group handed out 50 copies of ANF’s 10 Reasons to Pray a Public Rosary flyer. “We realized we should have printed a hundred or more,” he said.

Rosemary C. held her rally on a busy corner in downtown Manteca, Calif. “We received many supportive honks,” she said. “It was a sunny day and everyone was grateful for the opportunity to pray for all of the ANF intentions. God Bless America and all the world!”

Since 2007, America Needs Fatima has organized nearly 350,000 rosary rallies organized by concerned Catholics across the nation. The impact of these rallies—both direct and indirect—may never be fully known. Hundreds of thousands pass by, raising hope that seeds of future conversions are planted in their hearts and minds.
The next rosary rally effort is the annual Public Square Rosary Crusade, to be held on October 11, 2025. On this date, more than 23,000 rosary rallies will be held around noon across the entire country, commemorating the Miracle of the Sun, performed by Our Lady near Fatima in 1917. Many rosary rally captains are needed to meet our goals for this historic public devotion to Our Lady. Please sign up to become a rosary rally captain by clicking here.
