August 11: The evil Emperor Diocletian, who persecuted Christians, fell in love with Philomena. Having made a vow of virginity, she refused him and was slain for love of Christ.
July 16: The story of how the Blessed Mother gave St Simon Stock the devotion of the Brown Scapular.
February 29: Saint Auguste Chapdelaine, priest, missionary, and martyr, converted hundreds of souls before his martyrdom in China.

Miracles, Saints & Heroes
The Prince of the Heavenly Armies manifested himself in 1631 in this remote part of Mexico to show forth his great power. An epidemic came to an end and a source of miraculous water now flows continuously.
February 15: Saint Claude La Colombière, a Jesuit Priest, dedicated his life to spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
February 14: Saint Valentine, priest and martyr, was slain by the Roman Emperor for spreading Our Lord's teaching on Holy Matrimony.
