Rosary Rally Captains Lead the Way and How you can be a part of this historic effort
Imagine easily reaching more than 100,000 people every single day with the message that “June is devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.”
This is possible with the purchase of just one well-placed billboard – and America Needs Fatima is working to put 1,000 billboards with this message across the entire country. This means we possibly can reach millions with this crucial and beautiful reminder of God’s boundless love for mankind.
The idea for a billboard campaign began as a grassroots effort by one of America Needs Fatima’s most dedicated rosary rally captains, Ruby Galatolo. Several years ago, Ruby simply thought these billboards would offer a counter-response to the increasingly dominant LGBTQ messaging she was seeing in her Central Florida community each June. She felt that by making this sacred image public again, people would remember its meaning and reunite with Christ’s love. She was right and her simple idea sparked a national movement.

Other rally captains took notice and started billboard campaigns in their own towns and cities. In Cincinnati, Pat Ashcraft and his wife, Mary, saw billboards as a wonderful and effective way to stand against the LGBTQ’s assault on the church and the family, and defend God here on Earth. Through their fundraising efforts, they have purchased 9 billboards over the last few years and are planning another 3-5 to go up this June.
“I always think back to Sister Lucia, one of the shepherd children who saw Our Lady near Fatima,” he said. “As she was nearing death, she warned that ‘the final battle between the Lord and the kingdom of Satan will be about marriage and the family.’ We see that now, so it is mission critical that we get out there and do something.”
Another rally captain, Mary Franchini, saw the billboards for the Sacred Heart of Jesus going up around the country and her heart was touched. “Every time my family sees a pro-God or pro-life billboard as we are driving, we cheer! The faith is still alive!”
Mary knew that if her family felt that way, others were feeling it, too. She started to fundraise to purchase billboards in her Cleveland community to be sure the Sacred Heart of Jesus was visible to as many people as possible. Like Pat, she tries to purchase the billboards with the highest visibility – which are also the most expensive. But over the course of the month, they will reach millions, so it is worth it.

While Mary suggests starting around February to give yourself enough time to fundraise by reaching out to friends, family, and local parishes, a billboard can be purchased pretty quickly if needed. She fundraises through email, social media, phone calls, and handing out flyers (Mary strongly suggests you recruit parishioners from all local churches to help you secure permission and hand out flyers).
This year, Mary had a donor who purchased yard signs to help spread the message. Mary gave these signs away at her parish and asked for donations to the billboard campaign. Now, her community will see the Sacred Heart of Jesus almost everywhere they look!
Thinking back on her feelings about why she wanted to put up her first billboard, Ruby said there was a growing sense of disgust and fatigue at how LGBTQ activists were influencing our culture and our children.
“I truly feel Our Blessed Mother put the idea for this campaign in my heart,” Ruby said. “The time was right to rekindle the true meaning of June’s connection to the Sacred Heart, and it is beautiful to see these efforts grow around the country.”
Ruby was also inspired by the 1778 “Meditations of the Sacred Heart,” in which Father C. Borgo writes that Our Lord’s own words tell us to promote His Sacred Heart: “One day Jesus said to a beloved soul as He showed her His Heart, as in an abyss of fire, ‘My Heart, my daughter, can no longer support its desire to communicate itself to souls. Do thou assist me, my daughter, to lessen this fire. Publish and cause it to be published over all the world, that I will set no limit to My graces, for those souls that come to seek them in this My heart.”
She feels billboards help fulfill the 11th promise of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque: “Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart and it shall never be effaced.”
For these reasons and more, we hope all rosary rally captains support this campaign with donations and prayers to reclaim June for the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

There are two ways all rosary rally captains and supporters can help this billboard campaign to return June to the Sacred Heart of Christ:
