Returning June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
The Sacred Heart of Jesus stands as a powerful image of the mysterious and perfect love of Our Lord Jesus Christ – and is a stark contrast to unnatural vice that is celebrated as homosexual “pride.” Throughout June, Americans across the country gathered at 1,472 individual rosary rallies to reclaim the month of June for the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The rallies, organized by America Needs Fatima, were held in public locations across America, to protest LGBTQ pride events at libraries, colleges, and tragically, even Catholic churches.
The history connecting June with the Sacred Heart of Jesus spans centuries. In 1675, Our Lord, through Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, requested a feast to honor His Sacred Heart on the Friday after the octave of Corpus Christi (typically in June). In 1856, Pope Pius IX designated June as the month-long Feast of the Sacred Heart, which, to this day, celebrates God's boundless love for humanity.
The LGBTQ claim on June began only 27 years ago when President Bill Clinton signed a proclamation, and has been marked by annual parades and events since. Although the effort has enjoyed widespread support and promotion from the liberal media and politicians over the years, corporate sponsorships and public support is waning.
The synergy to turn eyes back to God this June was bolstered by America Needs Fatima’s campaign to post “June is for the Sacred Heart of Jesus” on billboards across the country. Groups and individuals raised funds to post hundreds of billboards in high-traffic highways and city locations. Over the month, the Sacred Heart message was shared with millions.
Captain Reports
Reports from rosary rally captains have been arriving at America Needs Fatima throughout the entire month. Here are just a few:
“The rally demonstrated that Catholics need not retreat from the public square,” said Emmanuel, a rally captain from Pikesville, Md. “Rather, through prayer, charity, and reverence, the faithful can provide a visible witness to hope, faith, and spiritual renewal. The event fostered new relationships, strengthened existing bonds, and demonstrated the unity that can be achieved when diverse ministries come together in service of a common spiritual mission. The gathering beautifully reflected the work of the Holy Spirit in bringing the parish together under the mantle of Our Blessed Mother.”

“We met in front of the University of St. Thomas in Houston,” said rally captain Cheryl. “Their Pride Parade was cancelled due to the weather. It had rained for days, and was still raining, but it quit for our prayers.”
Rally captain James from San Diego, Calif., said “We prayed the rosary and sang songs. It was a small group but there was a lot of love and fellowship.”

“We did the Sacred Heart Novena prayer then the rosary,” rally captain Mark from Cape Girardeau, Mo. Said. “On this wonderful day, it was supposed to rain, but the rain waited until after the rally!”

“We were able to hold the prayer rally on the same day of the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,” Paulina, a rally captain in Marysville, Wash., said. “We recited the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Prayer of Consecration to the Most Sacred of Jesus in addition to the prayers on the program. Young families with children and elderly people alike joined us. It was truly a weekday prayer filled with graces and blessings!”

Linda from Magnolia, Texas said she held her rosary in honor of The Sacred Heart of Jesus and His month of June, as well as the Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Anthony of Padua. “We had a little procession leading to the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue. Thank you and God Bless. Jesus Christ is King!”

“This June, Jesus triumphed with rosary rallies and billboards reminding America that the month is for His Sacred Heart,” said Robert Ritchie, executive director of America Needs Fatima. “It was uplifting to see so many thousands defend God in public to pray and stand against the brashness of homosexual sin and moral decline in our culture. This is what Our Lady asked us to do at Fatima, and is the only way to make reparation against offenses to God.”
Rosary Rallies since 2007
America Needs Fatima has been organizing and hosting rosary rallies on a regular basis since 2007. The impact of these rallies—both direct and indirect—may never be fully known. Hundreds of thousands pass by, raising hope that seeds of future conversions are planted in their hearts and minds.
This year, America Needs Fatima is challenging every person to become a rosary rally captain in honor of Our Lady, our beloved mother and queen. To join tens of thousands of Catholics in this endeavor for Our Lady, visit Rosary Rally Central to sign up as a captain for any of our upcoming themed rosary rallies.
