Americans Rally for Mary
On Saturday, May 16, faithful Americans gathered at 1,115 separate locations to participate in public rosary rallies. Organized by America Needs Fatima, these rallies honored Our Lady by celebrating the month of May, traditionally known as “the month of Mary.” Devotees took advantage of the occasion to pray for the conversion of America.
Since early Christian times, May has been dedicated to the Blessed Mother. The month is often marked by processions, the crowning of statues of Mary and public recitations of the Holy Rosary. May is also the month when Our Lady of Fatima appeared to the three shepherd children for the first time in 1917. During that year, Our Lady revealed profound moral truths to the seers: a vision of Hell, a warning about the consequences of sin, prophecies concerning World War II, the spread of communism and a call for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart to prevent further calamities. These revelations each illustrate the urgent need for conversion.
In the article "May: The Month of Mary" by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, founder of the Brazilian Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP), he wrote, “Our Lady is the Queen of Heaven and Earth and, at the same time, our mother. We enter the month of May with this conviction, and it becomes more deeply rooted in us when we leave it, strengthening our faith and increasing our fortitude.”
That’s why it’s so inspiring to see thousands of Americans publicly honor and show reverence to Our Lady. By holding public rosary rallies as gestures of joy, hope and repentance, rally captains and participants remind the world that Christ is King and Our Lady is Queen.
Captain Reports
Reports have been coming in to America Needs Fatima from across the country:
“We had over 60 people attend and we had a dozen volunteers including two boys ages 8 and 12,” said Anne, a rally captain from Sherman, Texas. “We all took turns leading each decade. It was a beautiful event and we will definitely do it again next May.”

“We have the same faithful Catholics who always show up every month,” said Mary from Meadville, Penn. “There were three Knights of Columbus in attendance, including my son who is 19!”

“We had a peaceful and prayerful rally with a medium-size group,” said Delia, a rosary rally captain from Wilmington, Calif. “Our parish priest was in attendance, and we prayed the rosary in English and in Spanish.”

“We had a successful rosary rally with 29 people participating,” said Kathy from Bensalem, Penn. “The weather was beautiful and people driving by were able to observe what we were doing.”

“The weather was cooperative except for the strong winds,” said David, rally captain in McKinney, Texas. “We started the rally with three people, then eight more showed. After the rally everyone seemed energized, more spiritual and thankful. We held the rally to honor Mary and to do something positive by praying for all the intentions. Overall a very good rally. Thank you, Mother Mary!”

“The month of May teaches us to be more constant in our family union with Our Lady, and rosary rallies are the perfect way to do just that,” said Robert E. Ritchie, director of America Needs Fatima. “We know Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart is pleased by the 1,115 public rallies held in her honor this month, which will bring Americans closer to her and to God’s divine providence.”
Raising Hope...
America Needs Fatima has been organizing and hosting rosary rallies on a regular basis since 2007. The impact of these rallies—both direct and indirect—may never be fully known. Hundreds of thousands pass by, raising hope that seeds of future conversions are planted in their hearts and minds.
This year, America Needs Fatima is challenging every person to become a rosary rally captain in honor of a loved one who is sick, has passed away, is facing difficult circumstances, or to honor America’s 250th anniversary. To join thousands of Catholics in this endeavor for Our Lady, visit our Rosary Rally Central to sign up as a captain for any of the many themed rosary rallies being held in 2026.
