The Crusade Continues: 24,700 Public Square Rosary Rallies Held Across America
In a historic display of Catholic faith, more than 24,700 simultaneous rosary rallies were held in communities all across the nation this past weekend. For love of God and country, hundreds of thousands of men, women and children stood shoulder to shoulder to pray for the conversion of the nation and the world, the reparation of sins, and a full return to God in the culture. Millions more witnessed the rallies, which were organized by volunteers with the support of America Needs Fatima as part of the annual Public Square Rosary Crusade.
The rosary rallies mark the anniversary of the October 13, 1917, Miracle of the Sun, an supernatural event of biblical proportions in which 70,000 people witnessed dramatic movements of the sun. The spectacle was part of a series of apparitions of the Blessed Mother near Fatima, Portugal. Since 2007, American families have participated in the October Public Square Rosary Crusade, which always takes place at noon on the Saturday closest to the date of the Miracle of the Sun. These supplications are desperate pleas to Our Lady to intercede on America’s behalf, bring the country back to God, and return order to the world.
The rallies also bring much-needed attention to the countless offenses against God and the Catholic Church that are so prevalent in today’s culture. Here are just a few types of the thousands of blasphemous events that took place openly and blatantly in 2026, each with the aim to further corrupt families and society:
- All-ages drag queen performances in libraries, restaurants and other visible locations,
- Paranormal Cirque events that mock the Church while glamorizing Satan, death and the occult,
- Homosexual “Pride Masses” held within Catholic churches under the banner of “inclusivity”,
- “Pride proms” and “Satanic Clubs” in public high schools,
- Satanic books being sold at Walmart,
- Vandalism and arson at Catholic churches, the destruction of Catholic statues and defacing of gravestones.
These peaceful rosary rallies are urgent and crucial calls for prayer, amendment of life and penance in America. These are the same requests given by God through Our Lady at Fatima as necessary acts of reparation for sin and for the conversion of sinners.
More than 100 years after Our Lady’s six apparitions at Fatima, Americans are inspired to recite the Holy Rosary during a rosary rally, sing hymns and earnestly pray for peace in America. Through each rally, Our Lady’s message at Fatima resounds: “Say the rosary every day, to obtain peace for the world.”
The flagship rally took place in Manhattan where hundreds of people walking down 5th Avenue and passing the iconic St. Patrick’s Cathedral saw the rosary rally unfold.

Another rally held in New York City was hosted by first-time captain, Fabian Baez, who allowed ANF to follow his journey in the “Just for Rosary Rally Captains” newsletter. His rally was held on the street alongside Montefiore Square in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood. About 25 people from his parish, Our Lady of Lourdes, joined him. “I feel very grateful for the opportunity to do this and accomplish this goal of spreading the Word on the life of Jesus and Our Lady’s influence,” Fabian said. The story of his rosary rally journey can be found here in our "Just for Rosary Rally Captains" Newsletter.

One long-time rally captain, Mr. Peter Pham, who fled Vietnam after suffering for eight years in a Communist re-education camp, organized a rosary rally with his wife at the Vietnamese Catholic Center in San Jose, Calif. More than 150 people attended this powerful event.

Other rally captains across the country shared their experiences from the day:
“Our prayer rally was participated by families with young children,” said Paulina from Marysville, Wash. “It was amazing that the boys and little girls recited the 15 decades of the Holy Rosary and stayed with us for the duration of the prayer despite the cold weather. We are sure that the Blessed Mother was pleased to hear these little children reciting the Hail Mary on their own little way.”

“It was a wonderful turnout on a beautiful autumn day,” said Ann from Essex Junction, Vt. “People were grateful to be a part of this Rosary for Peace.”

“Most of us were the first timers and it was really an amazing feeling,” said Prosperita from Des Plaines, Ill. “Some of us felt fulfilled and some felt joy within them.”

“It was my very best attended rally in recent years,” said Charlotte from the Bronx, New York. “We were blessed with a brand new beautiful white wooden stand to prop up our banner so it stayed wide open and easy to see. I was very happy that our pastor, Fr. Dennis Williams, came by to bless us all!”

“Everywhere you look, it seems the Catholic faith is being viciously attacked,” said Robert E. Ritchie, director of America Needs Fatima. “To hear hundreds of thousands of American voices rise up in prayer is a much-needed step to stop our crumbling culture. When we participate in public events centered around God and prayer, everyone benefits and much is accomplished, even more than we may ever fully know. Our Lady is pleased with everyone who planned and participated in a rosary rally last weekend.”
